Born: 1785, 21st April. Baptised 25th May at the Cathedral of St Peter, Sheffield.

Place of Birth: Sheffield, Yorkshire.

Died: 1852, 25th October in Keighley, Yorkshire. Buried 30th October in Keighley.

Parents: Richard and Charlotte Hattersley, nee Longdon.

Marriages: 1. Mary Smith, 14th August 1806 in Keighley, Yorkshire. 2. Anne Rose 18th December 1820 in Keighley, Yorkshire.

Children: With Mary, Frederick 1806, George 1808. With Anne, Samuel Longdon 1820, Amelia 1823,Anne Matilda 1826, Emma 1828, Everelda 1831 and Mary Ann Rose 1833.

Occupation: In parnership with his father Richard and brother George, subsequently on his own in Bradford, weaving machinery manufacturer.

Notes:  The business partnership formed by Richard Hattersley, appears to have had a rocky start, (attributed to brother Levi). It eventually went bankrupt in 1832. Subsequently, separate businesses were setup by George in Keighley and Samuel in Bradford.
